NEW BALANCE X BRICKS AND WOOD

Autre Fish approached us to direct a CGI teaser following our collaboration on a successful previous project. The animation was created to communicate the design of the Bricks and Wood collaboration with New Balance, which was inspired by the Madagascan Sunset Moth. For this project, I collaborated with my friend and partner at Quircc, Aryan Ahuja. We were provided with storyboard support, and our task was to create an animation built around the principles of metamorphosis: a cocoon transforming into the shoe packaging, then into the shoe itself, before growing wings and flying away to tease the launch. In addition to the teaser, we created a high-resolution digital twin and stills for promotional use and web presentation. The goal was to build a visually memorable transformation that reflected the concept behind the collaboration while creating a strong sense of anticipation for the release.
